In December 2023, the average export price for oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; naphthalenes amounted to $206 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a deep setback. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $607 per ton. From January 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the Czech Republic.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Czech Republic amounted to -8.6% per month.

The average import price for oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; naphthalenes stood at $180 per ton in 2022, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a noticeable setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 61% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $394 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
