As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,462 per ton. From January 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Spain ($1,305 per ton) and Austria ($1,291 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($1,205 per ton) and France ($1,236 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
