The average import price for oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; xyloles stood at $1,197 per ton in December 2023, reducing by -13.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a slight decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 529% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,320 per ton. From March 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($3,699 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($1,058 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
