In September 2023, the average import price for onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables; fresh or chilleds amounted to $1,797 per ton, picking up by 6.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a buoyant increase from October 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +8.3% over the last eleven-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
