Over the last eleven-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2021 an increase of 52% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,480 per ton in November 2021, and then declined significantly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,692 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($1,023 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($5,296 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1,299 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Peru (+25.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
