In April 2024, the average export price for paper, cigarette; in rolls of a width not exceeding 5cms amounted to $2,321 per ton, rising by 14% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $2,505 per ton in November 2023; however, from December 2023 to April 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($4,967 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($1,549 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
