The average import price for pearls; articles of natural or cultured pearlses stood at $29,526 per ton in 2022, surging by 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 333% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $70,525 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
