The average import price for pectic substances; pectinates and pectateses stood at $17,298 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 1.8% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 14% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $17,555 per ton. From May 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Spain ($20,362 per ton) and Switzerland ($19,588 per ton), while the price for Italy ($14,201 per ton) and France ($15,979 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
