In July 2023, the average import price for pectic substances; pectinates and pectateses amounted to $15,294 per ton, which is down by -51.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw slight growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 120% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $31,402 per ton, and then fell notably in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Ireland ($38,146 per ton), while the price for China ($9,279 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+17.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
