The average import price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses stood at $1,549 per ton in January 2024, reducing by -12.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 25% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,046 per ton. From August 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($9,262 per ton), while the price for China ($1,330 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+16.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses amounted to $1,529 per ton, dropping by -28.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 20%. The export price peaked at $2,642 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($3,526 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($175 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sri Lanka (+8.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
