In March 2022, the average import price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses amounted to $849 per ton, waning by -10.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated strong growth from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, import price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses increased by +10.4% against October 2021 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $952 per ton in February 2022, and then dropped in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($2,688 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan ($249 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses stood at $1,056 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -20.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 215% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,227 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,650 per ton), while the average price for exports to Uzbekistan ($516 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+15.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third consecutive year, Belarus recorded decline in overseas purchases of phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses, which decreased by -1.8% to 27K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced decrease.
In value terms, imports of phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses skyrocketed to $29M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In general, exports, however, recorded a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 85% against the previous year.
In value terms, exports of phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses shrank dramatically to $202K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 20% against the previous year.
