In November 2023, the average import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds amounted to $3.7 per square meter, with an increase of 53% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a temperate increase from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds increased by +52.6% against October 2023 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($9.9 per square meter), while the price for Slovakia ($2.1 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+33.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds stood at $2.9 per square meter in 2022, shrinking by -16.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a slight increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $6.5 per square meter in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($9.8 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Italy ($1.4 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds increased by 1.3% to 478K square meters in 2022. Overall, imports, however, faced a precipitous shrinkage. Imports peaked at 6.9M square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds rose slightly to $1.3M in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a dramatic shrinkage. Imports peaked at $2.6M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
