The average import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds stood at $2.2 per square meter in 2022, falling by -4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 26%. The import price peaked at $2.8 per square meter in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($9.1 per square meter), while the price for Romania ($0.6 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds increased by +95.4% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($7.3 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($2 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
