In 2022, the average export price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds amounted to $8.1 per square meter, which is down by -17.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 244%. The export price peaked at $10 per square meter in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($27 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Luxembourg ($0.8 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds stood at $3.1 per square meter in 2022, increasing by 95% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($12 per square meter), while the price for Germany ($0.7 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, exports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds shrank dramatically to $245K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 51%. The exports peaked at $390K in 2021, and then fell notably in the following year.
