The average import price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds stood at $0.2 per square meter in 2022, growing by 36% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, faced a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 219% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1 per square meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($0.4 per square meter), while the price for the Czech Republic totaled $0.2 per square meter.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+66.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11 per square meter. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($27 per square meter), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($3.5 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ireland (+220.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, imports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds soared to $517K in 2022. In general, imports saw a significant expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In general, exports continue to indicate a dramatic contraction. The smallest decline of -49.4% was in 2020. The exports peaked at 3.6K square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, exports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds reduced markedly to $1.6K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a sharp downturn. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at $8.6K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
