Price for Pig Fat; Lard, Other than That of Heading 0209 and 1503 in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average export price for pig fat; lard, other than that of heading 0209 and 1503s amounted to $1,069 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 51%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $3,400 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2015 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+12.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

For the fourth consecutive year, Ukraine recorded growth in overseas shipments of pig fat; lard, other than that of heading 0209 and 1503s, which increased by 0.8% to 349 tons in 2022. Overall, exports posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 77% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, exports of pig fat; lard, other than that of heading 0209 and 1503s stood at $374K in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 84% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
