In April 2023, the average export price for pitch coke; obtained from coal tar or from other mineral tarses amounted to $442 per ton, picking up by 5.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 103% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $779 per ton. From February 2023 to April 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Ukraine.
From June 2022 to April 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Latvia amounted to +3.1% per month.

For the third year in a row, Estonia recorded decline in overseas shipments of pitch coke; obtained from coal tar or from other mineral tarses, which decreased by -59.2% to 7.3K tons in 2022. In general, exports showed a precipitous contraction. The smallest decline of -4.5% was in 2021.
In value terms, exports of pitch coke; obtained from coal tar or from other mineral tarses reduced dramatically to $3.1M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a dramatic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 17% against the previous year.
