The average import price for plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants stood at $0.2 per unit in 2022, increasing by 7.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price enjoyed a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 101% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $0.2 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($0.3 per unit), while the price for Russia ($0.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imports of plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants soared to $380K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports posted significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 157% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
