In 2022, the average import price for platinum; unwrought or in semi-manufactured formses amounted to $40,221,529 per ton, increasing by 8.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 59%. The import price peaked at $42,876,243 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($39,447,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($182,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+37.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
