In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,647 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,681 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($1,357 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
