The average export price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,799 per ton in October 2023, picking up by 4.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 5.8% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,958 per ton. From May 2023 to October 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($2,121 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tunisia ($1,168 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,756 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
