The average export price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,817 per ton in February 2022, reducing by -8.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average export price increased by 22% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,285 per ton in May 2021; however, from June 2021 to February 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In February 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Venezuela ($2,050 per ton) and the Dominican Republic ($1,935 per ton), while the average price for exports to Peru ($1,696 per ton) and the United States ($1,702 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bolivia (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from February 2021 to February 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2021 an increase of 16% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,082 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to February 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Belgium ($2,249 per ton) and the United States ($1,910 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($1,670 per ton) and Oman ($1,706 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
