The average export price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,244 per ton in October 2023, increasing by 4.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,361 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Romania ($1,364 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($688 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In October 2023, the average import price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses amounted to $1,331 per ton, increasing by 9.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $1,549 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,040 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($712 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
