The average export price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,162 per ton in November 2023, rising by 2.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 when the average export price increased by 9% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $1,231 per ton in January 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Vietnam ($1,306 per ton) and the Philippines ($1,288 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($963 per ton) and Myanmar ($1,098 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In November 2023, the average import price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses amounted to $1,353 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 7% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,399 per ton in June 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,409 per ton), while the price for Oman ($1,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
