The average import price for poultry; live, weighing not more than 185g, turkeys meat stood at $1.1 per unit in 2022, growing by 3.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 49%. The import price peaked at $2.3 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1.1 per unit), while the price for Iran stood at $1.1 per unit.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-6.7%).

In value terms, imports of poultry; live, weighing not more than 185g, turkeys meat rose significantly to $71K in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. Imports peaked at $83K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
