Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 103% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $69,007 per ton, and then reduced markedly in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($56,487 per ton), while the price for China totaled $3,905 per ton.

From October 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+21.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $110,495 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($164,857 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($25,616 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
