The average export price for printed matter of other kindses stood at $9,974 per ton in March 2024, increasing by 9.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 13% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $12,417 per ton in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to March 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In March 2024, the countries with the highest prices were Bosnia and Herzegovina ($10,860 per ton) and North Macedonia ($10,319 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($7,673 per ton) and Serbia ($9,252 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for printed matter of other kindses stood at $11,779 per ton in 2022, dropping by -18.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 94% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $19,394 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($41,047 per ton), while the price for Switzerland ($6,020 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
