Price for Pulp; Cotton Linters Pulp in Bangladesh (CIF) - 2022

The average pulp; cotton linters pulp import price stood at $370 per ton in 2022, increasing by 3.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, pulp; cotton linters pulp import price decreased by -9.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 29%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $411 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Overall, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +19.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +68.9% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
