Price for Pulp; Cotton Linters Pulp in Uzbekistan (FOB) - 2023
In May 2023, the average pulp; cotton linters pulp export price amounted to $1,543 per ton, shrinking by -15.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 33% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,267 per ton. From January 2023 to May 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,789 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1,188 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
