In February 2024, the average import price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials amounted to $1,024 per ton, growing by 5.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2023 when the average import price increased by 27% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,201 per ton. From November 2023 to February 2024, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2024, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($1,121 per ton) and the Netherlands ($1,005 per ton), while the price for Colombia ($770 per ton) and Canada ($988 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Honduras.
