In March 2024, the average import price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials amounted to $1,308 per ton, reducing by -49.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a notable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2024 when the average import price increased by 57% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,608 per ton, and then declined dramatically in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,833 per ton), while the price for the United States ($488 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials amounted to $808 per ton, increasing by 14% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials increased by +92.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $872 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($3,029 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($715 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+23.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, imports of pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials into Poland reduced to 14K tons, dropping by -7.5% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 17%.
In value terms, imports of pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials skyrocketed to $13M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a abrupt contraction.

In value terms, exports of pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials declined notably to $3.9M in 2022. In general, exports showed a dramatic shrinkage.
