Price for Pulps of Other Fibrous Cellulosic Material in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2024
The average export price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials stood at $1,991 per ton in March 2024, with an increase of 7.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated slight growth from March 2023 to March 2024: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2024 figures, export price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials increased by +7.6% against February 2024 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 137% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,185 per ton in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to March 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($2,620 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($546 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+8.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for pulps of other fibrous cellulosic materials stood at $95 per ton in 2022, declining by -12.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a sharp descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 291%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,465 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($436 per ton), while the price for Germany ($35 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (-5.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
