Price for Refined Copper Tube and Pipe in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average import price for tubes and pipes of refined copper amounted to $9,673 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 6% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $10,396 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Thailand ($11,566 per ton) and Italy ($10,592 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($8,544 per ton) and Vietnam ($9,175 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for tubes and pipes of refined copper stood at $9,189 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 2% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a slight setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 7.2% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $11,088 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Iraq ($13,230 per ton), while the average price for exports to Greece ($1,664 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Albania (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
