Over the period from February 2023 to February 2024, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 35% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $61.0 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to February 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2024, the country with the highest price was the United States ($474 per unit), while the price for Japan ($28.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
