In January 2024, the average import price for refrigerating or freezing equipment; parts thereof, other than furniture amounted to $80.0 per unit, declining by -8.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 33% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $105 per unit. From August 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($95.6 per unit), while the price for China ($23.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for refrigerating or freezing equipment; parts thereof, other than furniture stood at $165 per unit in January 2024, waning by -44.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a perceptible increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2023 when the average export price increased by 127% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $297 per unit, and then fell dramatically in the following month.
