Price for Rubber Thread and Cord; Textile Covered in Germany (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average export price for rubber thread and cord; textile covereds amounted to $11,367 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $17,817 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($30,672 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($6,291 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

As a result, import price attained the peak level of $13,101 per ton. From October 2023 to March 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($15,866 per ton), while the price for China ($4,247 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas shipments of rubber thread and cord; textile covereds decreased by -12% to 773 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +47.0% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $10M, and then dropped in the following year.
