Price for Rubber Thread and Cord; Textile Covered in Turkey (FOB) - 2024

The average export price for rubber thread and cord; textile covereds stood at $7,601 per ton in March 2024, waning by -8.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a moderate expansion from March 2023 to March 2024: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2024 figures, export price for rubber thread and cord; textile covereds increased by +28.3% against January 2024 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2023 an increase of 50% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $8,932 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to March 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 380% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $33,095 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to March 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($27,257 per ton), while the price for China ($3,739 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, shipments abroad of rubber thread and cord; textile covereds decreased by -15.8% to 414 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 85%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 839 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
