The average import price for rubber stood at $13,093 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -6.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, posted a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 51%. The import price peaked at $15,868 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($35,481 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($2,850 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+21.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
