In 2022, the average export price for rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with textile materialses amounted to $2,395 per ton, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a slight reduction. The export price peaked at $2,978 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Poland ($2,799 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($2,487 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($2,096 per ton) and Iran ($2,110 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with textile materialses stood at $6,090 per ton in January 2024, declining by -18.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 71% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $12,071 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to January 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($46,391 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($1,347 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+16.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Rubber; Vulcanised, Conveyor Belts or Belting, Reinforced Only with Textile Materials in Turkey
For the fourth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in overseas shipments of rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with textile materialses, which increased by 11% to 28K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +14.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +51.0% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 17%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, exports of rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with textile materialses surged to $67M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a significant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +20.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +74.4% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imports of rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with textile materialses surged to $14M in 2022. Overall, imports recorded significant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
