Price for Rusks and Toasted Bread in Italy (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average rusks and toasted bread export price amounted to $4,150 per ton, flattening at the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 an increase of 12% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $4,150 per ton in April 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($4,912 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($3,098 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In June 2023, the average rusks and toasted bread import price amounted to $3,750 per ton, rising by 13% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 13% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3,781 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
