The average import price for salted, dried or smoked meat, and offal stood at $7,116 per ton in September 2023, with a decrease of -8.4% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 42% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $9,175 per ton. From May 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average export price for salted, dried or smoked meat, and offal amounted to $8,602 per ton, rising by 12% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a slight increase from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, export price for salted, dried or smoked meat, and offal increased by +20.2% against June 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 an increase of 85% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $12,912 per ton. From November 2022 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Estonia ($29,005 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,849 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
