Price for Scaffolding, Shuttering, and Propping Equipment in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average import price for equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping amounted to $2,468 per ton, increasing by 13% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,161 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,636 per ton), while the price for China ($1,540 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping stood at $3,024 per ton in 2022, rising by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, scaffolding, shuttering, and propping equipment export price increased by +91.0% against 2016 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($5,082 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($610 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+15.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Scaffolding, Shuttering, and Propping Equipment in Bulgaria
In 2022, scaffolding, shuttering, and propping equipment imports into Bulgaria reduced slightly to 11K tons, waning by -3.7% against the year before. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 27%.
