In June 2023, the average import price for equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping amounted to $2,616 per ton, reducing by -9.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 20% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,978 per ton. From August 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,662 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,381 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Price for Scaffolding, Shuttering, and Propping Equipment in Croatia (FOB) - 2023
The average export price for equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping stood at $3,260 per ton in June 2023, growing by 19% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 50% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,269 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($1,414 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+17.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Scaffolding, Shuttering, and Propping Equipment in Croatia
In 2022, purchases abroad of equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit propping decreased by -17.8% to 10K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 37%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 13K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, scaffolding, shuttering, and propping equipment imports reduced slightly to $27M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +51.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 30% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $27M, and then shrank slightly in the following year.
