In September 2023, the average sheep and goats; live export price amounted to $63.2 per unit, with a decrease of -69.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 60% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $210 per unit in August 2023, and then shrank markedly in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($127 per unit), while the average price for exports to Kuwait ($57.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
