The average export price for soya beans; other than seed, whether or not brokens stood at $771 per ton in 2022, picking up by 18% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed perceptible growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average export price increased by 111% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $799 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,115 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($553 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
