The average import price for spices; cardamoms, crushed or ground stood at $9,038 per ton in 2022, increasing by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 94% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $20,240 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
