The average import price for spices; cardamoms, neither crushed nor ground stood at $16,076 per ton in December 2023, dropping by -5.8% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from December 2022 to December 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2023 figures, import price for spices; cardamoms, neither crushed nor ground increased by +50.9% against August 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 75% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $18,723 per ton. From July 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
