In 2022, the average import price for spices; cardamoms, neither crushed nor ground amounted to $10,316 per ton, dropping by -10.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 106%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $18,535 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (-2.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
