In November 2023, the average export price for spices; nutmeg, neither crushed nor ground amounted to $6,027 per ton, falling by -11.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a mild shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 21% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $7,992 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($9,405 per ton), while the average price for exports to Yemen ($3,850 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (-0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 62% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,086 per ton. From February 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Indonesia.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Grenada amounted to +3.8% per month.
