The average import price for vanilla stood at $12,910 per ton in 2022, growing by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 88% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($190,750 per ton), while the price for Singapore amounted to $1,619 per ton.
